Chicago Plastic Surgeon
- Gregory Dumanian, M.D.
Dr. Gregory Dumanian, a native Chicagoan, graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College, and trained at the finest medical programs in the country. After graduating with honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, he completed a five-year residency in general surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He followed this with three years of plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh, one of the premier plastic surgery programs in the country for reconstructive surgery. He then completed a fellowship in hand surgery in Baltimore, Maryland at the Curtis Hand Center.
Dr. Dumanian is board certified in general surgery, plastic surgery, as well as hand surgery. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and also operates at Children's Memorial Hospital and the Chicago Shriner's Hospital for Children. His expertise in peripheral nerve surgery has led to a joint appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery.
Dr. Dumanian combines excellent training with a caring and attentive bedside manner. He performs a variety of cutting edge procedures in breast reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, and hand and wrist surgery. His groundbreaking work in restoring limb function was recently showcased on the Learning Channel.
